Make sure you charge the battery for at least 18 hours (30 hours max) before operating your vehicle for the first time.  Charge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use of the vehicle.  *It is necessary to charge the battery immediately after use.  It is damaging to the battery when it has been used and then sits without being charged.  After a full charge the battery can sit up to two-three months when not in use.

The Power Wheels® 12V Quick Charger will not produce an output until it is plugged into a working Power Wheels® battery.  The charger needs to detect a battery before it starts charging, so no voltage will be present when testing it with a volt meter.

Power Wheels® has independently owned and operated authorized service centers that carry replacement parts, batteries, and chargers in addition to repairing vehicles in or out of warranty. Battery life will vary depending on how you follow the Charging and Battery Care Instructions. It's also affected by the total number of hours the batteries are used. Average battery life is one to three years.

In order for the Wild Thing™ to operate correctly, there must be weight in the seat. When your child leans forward in the seat or lifts their bottom off the seat, the seat switch will open and the vehicle will stop. For best results, make sure your little one stays seated at all times with their back against the seat.
